21 Up (1977)

This documentary is the third in a series of documentaries made by director Michael Applete since 1964. Michael Applete filmed the documentary "7 Up" for BBC in 1964, interviewing fourteen seven-year-olds from different walks of life in Britain, some from orphanages and some from the upper class. Every seven years since then, Epter will re-interview these children, listen to their dreams and talk about their lives. The children, who are in their youth, have reached the age of 21. The original intention of the director at that time was to criticize the immutability of the British social class, that is, the children of the poor are still poor, and the children of the rich are still rich. After a few decades, this point is first confirmed. But the gratis of life will not stop there. This series of documentaries, spanning half a century, have recorded an unprecedented live-action version of "Seven years of Life".
