At midnight, in the cold, dark bar, three sleepless people: the butcher, the prostitute, and the piano tuner got together. In order to play boring nights, they began to chat, but all three made up false identities for themselves: butchers disguised as government workers, going in and out of the upper echelons every day, busy: prostitutes claiming to be employees of a Japanese company, she came here to promote the company's high-tech products, and the tuner pretended to be a biological researcher and made up a story about a clone. Their words are true and false, false and false, embellished with this long and strange night. The film won the Best Picture Award at the 2005 Rotterdam Film Festival, the Best New Director Award at the 2005 Seattle Film Festival and the Best New Director Award at the 2005 Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival.
