Michael Applete began filming the first film in the documentary series in 1964, interviewing fourteen seven-year-olds from all walks of life in Britain, either from orphanages or from the upper class. Every seven years since then, Epter will re-interview these children, listen to their dreams and talk about their lives. 49 years old know destiny, see the passage of time, see through the vicissitudes of life. This film combines the interview essence of the interviewees aged 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49 and 56 years old. "Seven years of Life" was nominated for the British Film Academy Award and the Golden Satellite Award in 2006.
