The story takes place in Baltimore, Maryland, where Sylvia (Trish Yuma Tracey Ullman) and her husband Vaughn (Chris Isaac Chris Isaak) have been married for many years, and the two run a convenience store together. Every day, Sylvia has to take care of the up and down of the shop herself, in addition to worrying about her rebellious daughter Caprice (Selma Blair Selma Blair). The tedious life has already exhausted Sylvia and has no leisure to maintain her relationship with her husband. A car accident gave Sylvia a concussion, but unlike a normal concussion, Sylvia's condition is characterized by strong sexual impulses. Since then, Sylvia's character has become more and more wild and dissolute, which makes Vaughn feel a little powerless at first.
