During World War II, a plane piloted by Peter (David Niven David Niven) of the Royal Air Force was about to crash, and his comrade-in-arms Bob was killed. He contacted the military radio station in Boston and confessed his last words to the female soldier June (Kim Hunt Kim Hunter). Then Peter jumped out of the plane without a parachute, landed at sea, and survived unexpectedly. They met June on the beach when they woke up, and the two fell in love. And the dead Bob went to heaven and couldn't wait for Peter. Heaven sent No. 71 caretaker to retrieve Peter, but Peter didn't want to die. In order to survive, he must win a case in heaven.
