Henry Selick, the director of "Christmas Eve shock" and "Ghost Mom", is about to reverse the normal animation of stop-motion animation and make a live-action movie "A Tale Dark & Grimm" of Hansel and Gretel. The film is based on Adam Gidwitz's children's novel of the same name, the first in a trilogy that tells the story of two brothers and sisters hoping to escape the dark fairy tale world and find happiness again. Hansel and Gretel go out of their own world and enter eight scary fairy tales, all of which are derived from the classic Grimm fairy tales. Along the way, they will encounter obstacles such as wizards, warlocks, dragons and demons. When the brother and sister roam the forest and deal with numerous threatening opponents, they also come to know the true story behind the famous legend and how to take responsibility for their own destiny and create their own happiness. Selik's live-action film will be written by John W. Mann and Jon Gunn, who has just written DreamWorks 2015 animated film "paranormal Research" voiced by Seth Logan, Melissa McCarthy and others.
