The story takes place just after the end of World War I, and the devastated land is slowly recovering. Ali (Adam Bakrie Adam Bakri), a Muslim student, has a noble background, and the family is permeated with a strong religious atmosphere. By chance, he meets a girl named Nino (Maria Vawald Mar í a Valverde), a Christian who believes in the Orthodox Church. Although they have very different religious beliefs, they are still a spark of love. Unlike Ali, Nino received an European-style cultural education from an early age, and tended to be pluralistic and open, so the love that spanned race and religion didn't bother her too much. Ali and Nino spent many wonderful years together, wandering in the vast expanse of heaven and earth, however, they still have to face problems from reality.
