Adapted from a famous classic novel, the story describes a little girl who overcomes all difficulties and tests to strive for love, recognition and exclusive place for herself. The story takes place in the late 19th century when the orphan daughter Anne (Amy Beth McNalty Amybeth McNulty) is accidentally arranged to live in the home of a brother and sister on Prince Edward Island after an abusive childhood in an orphanage and a stranger's home. With the passage of time, the 13-year-old Anne, with her unique courage, wisdom and rich imagination, has brought about changes in the lives of Marilla Caspert (Geraline James Geraldine James) and Matthew Caspert (Robert H. Thomas R.H. Thomson), and even the whole town. Annie's experience will bring reflection on persistent issues such as self-identity, feminism, bullying and prejudice.
