Antonia (1995)

The story takes place after World War II, when Antonia (Vilic Van Amele Willeke van Ammelrooy) returns to her long-lost hometown with her daughter Daniele (Els Dortmans Els Dottermans). Antonia's benevolent kindness brings new hope to her devastated home after the war. She has successively taken in the dementia Girl Generation (Marina de Graf Marina de Graaf) and Farmer Bath (Jane de Claire Jan Decleir) to form a special family-the Antonia family. A warm and close relationship maintains these families who are not related by blood, but there are irreconcilable contradictions between supporting each other. Daniele gave birth to Teresa (Veerle van Overloop) after she became pregnant, but when little Teresa grew up, she was raped by Peter (Filip Peeters). With the passage of time, the Antonia family continued to grow, while Antonia's own life came to an end.
