Artemisia (1997)

This film tells the sad and beautiful love story of Italian female painter Artemisia (Valentine Chevy Valentina Cervi) in her youth during the Renaissance. The beautiful Artemisia was born into an artistic family, and his father, Olazio (Michelle Cerro Michel Serrault), is already a famous painter in Italy. However, Artemisia, who is gifted in art, ignored the rules and regulations and was unable to enter the Academy of Fine Arts. But this did not hinder her persistent pursuit of painting, still wild and enthusiastic creation. Until she met the painter Agostino Tasi (played by Mickey Manolo Vick Miki Manojlovi), she broke into the studio to show him the painted man naked. Tashi was attracted by her courage and beauty and was shocked by her extraordinary talent. Naturally, the two fell in love. However, the fiery love was thwarted by her father and took Tasi to court. The tragedy unfolds... The film was nominated for Best Foreign language Film at the 1998 Golden Globe Awards.
