The Autumn Ball is an Estonian film about six Soviet-era residents living in a tower whose lives influence each other, but they all feel lonely. Marty, a young writer, tried to seduce other women outside his ex-wife's window, but he failed. Casque is a monotonous single barber. He is attracted to a young girl, but he is misunderstood as a pedophile. Laura, a single mother, watches soap operas on TV. Because she doesn't trust men, she refuses them to show their love. Marill, the architect, thinks it is a blessing for mankind, but he forgets his wife, who tries to get comfort from the wardrobe Teo. Women like Special Olympics, but his social status is so low that they don't take him seriously.
