Raymond Barry (Ryan O'Neill Ryan O'Neal) lives with his mother at his uncle's house in Ireland and later falls in love with his cousin Nora. Nora's father wanted to marry her to an English general, John Quin. So Barry proposed a duel to Quin, in which Barry shot Quin, mistakenly thinking that he had killed him, and fled his hometown in a hurry. He was robbed on the way and had no choice but to join the British army. It was in the army that he learned that Quin was not dead. Barry escaped from the British but joined the Prussians. After the war, he became a confidant of Prussian officer Potzdorf and asked him to spy on an Irish spy in Prussia. Barry is in love with the Irish knight, who takes him to and from the casino and gains a lot. Barry thought he should find a rich woman, so he targeted Sir Lyndon's wife, Lady Lyndon. Sir Lyndon died of illness. A year later, Barry and Lady Lyndon married and became an aristocrat.
