Blue (2002)

In a quiet seaside city, the silent and lonely Tongdao Jiaye (Ichikawa Shimai) is a senior in the local girls' high school. She was isolated by her classmates for personality reasons, immersed in the feelings of emptiness and loneliness every day, and did not know where the future would be. Perhaps because of the same situation, Yamei Endo (Minami Naimi) in the same class attracted the attention of Jiaye. Yamei was suspended from school for a year in her second year of high school. She seemed to be detached from the world. She was not allowed around her, nor did she care about the opinions of others. Jiaye walked slowly into the world of Yamei out of curiosity. Yamei accepted this lonely friend wholeheartedly, and the paintings, music and the blue sea she loved opened the door to fantasy for the beautiful leaves. The friendship between the two pure girls continues to deepen, and each other occupies an important position in each other's hearts. The film is based on the cartoon of the same name, and won the Best Actress Award of Silver Saint George at the 2002 Moscow International Film Festival.
