The sorrow of life is not to go through ups and downs, but to find that fate is doomed after struggling hard. There is no hope for people's lives in a red-light district in Calcutta, India, where poverty and disease spread. However, the most unbearable are the children of prostitutes, who not only have to bear the discriminatory eyes of others, but also have to face their own dark fate prematurely. American director and photographer Zana Briski Ross Kaufman (Ross Kauffman) found eight prostitute children here and taught them to use cameras. This small and sophisticated machine ignites the children's artistic talent, showing a pure and innocent world in the hazy neighborhood.
