Born of Hope (2009)

The film "the birth of Hope" is set before Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy: it tells the story of Aragon's parents, Arathorn and Gilraen, from meeting to falling in love, giving birth to Aragon and their northern tribes drifting through the Midlands under the threat of orcs. The story comes from several passages in the appendix to Tolkien's novel the Lord of the Rings. The original idea for the film began in 2003, when the film's director and actor, Kate Madison, decided to send a film to the Lord of the Rings Film Show, but the small idea evolved into an ambitious project. They made their first short film clip in April 2006, but the film is still being filmed and is expected to be completed in 2009, when it will be available for free download on the Internet.
