The social protests and worldwide student rebellion of the late 1960s had an impact not only on pop music, but even on the boy choir of Catholic boarding schools in the far north of Japan. Mich, a 15-year-old freshman at the school, is in a difficult period of adjustment. He is very shy and often stutters, which makes him an easy target for cruel teasing by his classmates. He managed to make friends with asu, a classmate of the same age with a beautiful soprano voice. With love and care, Yasuo discovers that Mich has decided to play truant. He persuades him to stay and joins the school choir. Everyone was surprised. As soon as Mich began to sing, his stutter disappeared. He soon increased his confidence and fell in love with singing. Singing became very important in his heart. But it's just the opposite. When he returned to Tokyo for his holiday, he took part in the demonstration with many other young students. When he returned to school, he was keen to spread revolutionary slogans, and his crystal clear voice changed. Yasuo's changed voice prevented him from speaking, so he begged him to speak in his place. In order to speak for asu, Michio managed to overcome stuttering completely.
