Bran Nue Dae (2009)

The story of this song and dance film tells the story of growing up in adolescence. In the summer of 1965 in the small town of Bloom, Western Australia, Young Willie dreamed of living a free life and going fishing with his friends. However, his mother Teresa had high hopes for him and sent him to a church school for further study. It's just that Willie didn't want to follow his mother's arrangement and was expelled from school after a trouble. The behind-the-scenes film is based on Australia's first homegrown musical, Bran Nue Dae, which is based on the semi-autobiographical story of screenwriter Jimmy Chi living in the small town of Bloom, Western Australia.
