Nora (Parker Percy Parker Posey), 35, is a successful career woman in Manhattan-she is the customer service director of a high-end hotel. Although she is smart and capable, she can see through the needs of the guests at a glance, but she has been unable to find the end-result of her love, and she is a mess in dealing with her feelings. Nora had had sex with the hotel guest, star Nick, but when she was full of longing, she realized that the other person was just experiencing life with her for the performance. After a series of "first date" failures, discouraged Nora meets a Frenchman Julian (Melvippo Melvil Poupaud) who speaks broken English. The relationship between the two quickly warmed up, but Julian was going back to France soon, and he invited Nora to elope with him. But Nora, who had suffered many setbacks in her relationship, suddenly lost her confidence and refused Julian. When Julian returned home, Nora suddenly realized that she could never forget this man. So she came to Paris in the company of her best friend.
