Carne (1991)

In 1987, Gaspard Noye entered the Cannes Film Festival with a 40-minute movie bomb "Carne", which opened the prelude to his declaration of war on society. "Horse Meat" began with a bloody scene of killing horses. Noye adopted the "protagonist Cold narration" (the opening narrative of "Angels Love Beauty"), which later became fashionable in mainstream films. it tells the story of a horse meat shop owner, an expressionless, emotionless and closed butcher who leads a boring life day after day, year after year. In the face of his daughter's more and more mature body, he had a helpless desire, and finally he mistakenly thought that his daughter had been raped and stuck a butcher's knife in the guy's mouth. The film is filled with repressed, dry, cold atmosphere, the picture is always filled with the same red as blood, a kind of decadent smell of sewer rolling after heavy rain, a pair of unbridled decadence and eschatological color. Strange seats (often cut off people's eyes), stiff movements, in addition to a small amount of music coming out of the radio, the most impressive thing is the constant heavy sound, which is frightening and disturbing. The directness of Horse Meat in audio-visual language and social criticism is unexpected and dumbfounded. The film was clear at the beginning.
