At the heart of the show is a dysfunctional family, with brother Alex Cole (Tommy Dewey) a permanent bachelor and sister Valerie Cole (Michaela Watkins) recently divorced. Alex has launched a popular online dating site, which he often uses to meet all kinds of beautiful women. He thought that sleeping with them would ease his sense of loneliness and despair, but this was not the case. When Valerie decided to start dating again, Alex volunteered to be a "mentor" for her sister to help her integrate into her single life. Both want to find their place in the crazy dating world-both online and offline-and find the true meaning of life at the same time. On the other hand, the two live together and co-raise Valerie's adolescent daughter Laura (Tara Lynne Barr). The funny thing is that both Alex and Valerie look childish, but the underage Laura is more like the "elders" of the family. Hulu released all 10 episodes of the first season at once.
