Kate (Rachel Smith Rachele Smith) is a girl who insists on pursuing the dream of ballet. She has no professional training and has excellent dancing skills through videotape imitation practice. Her father is addicted to gambling and doesn't care about Kate, but her sister supports her to fulfill her dream. She comes to the American Ballet Academy for an interview, but examiner Rivers (Peter Geller Peter Gallagher) abandons her for utilitarian reasons and chooses a famous family. However, Kate's dancing skills are still impressive, especially the other examiner Cooper (Ethan Steinfeld Ethan Stiefel) and the finalist Tommy (Kenny Warmand Kenny Wormald). The former once argued for her, while the latter fell in love with her at first sight. Later, Kate got a job at the HIP-HOP club because of an impromptu HIP-HOP performance at the nightclub. At the same time, Tommy started dating her, and both of them had dreams of ballet, except that the former hockey player Tommy had a successful transformation, while the self-taught Kate had a hard time.
