Based on a true story, Surfer Man tells the life story of Jay Moriretti, a famous surfer who died young. Half Moon Bay has become a mecca for surfers, and Mavericks waves have become the wave that all surfers want to conquer. Jay's father, who is also a surfer, took Jay to the sea when he was 9 years old. Jay soon mastered the art of surfing and fell in love with surfing ever since. When Jay (Johnny Jonny Weston) is 15 years old, he discovers Mavericks, one of the largest waves in the world, on the coast of half Moon Bay. In order to conquer the huge wave of Mavericks, Jay implored surfing coach Frusty Heisen (Gerald Butler Gerard Butler) to guide his skills. In the exploration of learning guidance, the two gradually have the affection of being both teachers and friends, which also affects their respective attitudes towards life. At the age of 16, Jay successfully conquered the Mavericks waves, and his wonderful performance was captured by photographers and became a new star in the surfing world and loved by surfers all over the world.
