Meibo, who is in the second year of high school, is a member of the school swimming team and likes to watch an animation featuring Koteko, a magical girl. One day before the summer vacation began, she became acquainted with Zhaoping, a calligraphy boy who drew Koteko on the roof of the school. Because of their love of animation, they soon became friends. Meibo and Zhaoping talked about their family: she lived with her mother, stepfather and brother. She doesn't remember much of her real father. But a year ago, she received a spell from someone unknown, which made her wonder if it might be a clue to finding her biological father. With the help of brother Zhaoping, they learned about Meibo's biological father: he was the founder of a religion and currently lives in a small seaside town. Swimming team training is just around the corner, Meibo is ostensibly going to attend, but is actually going to go to town to meet his father.
