The film is adapted from Skipping Christmas, the best-selling work of the famous American novelist John Grisham (John Grisham). The story describes an American couple, Luther Clark (Tim Allen) and Nora (Jamie Lee Curtis) make an "amazing" decision on Christmas Eve-not to celebrate Christmas this year. They are going to travel to the Caribbean during the Christmas season.
