Come See the Paradise (1990)

Few movies mention Asian concentration camps in the United States during World War II. This film is one of the few, seeing historical pain through the eyes of Americans and Asians at the same time. In the 1930s, Jack (Dennis Quaid), who worked as a trade union organization in New York, found that he had always believed in the union after an explosion, but he was not always right. So he left the east coast of the United States and came to Los Angeles. A Japanese woman living in Little Japan took him in and let him work in her shop. Jack fell in love with his daughter Lily at first sight, and the two decided to get married after getting along for a long time. But California law at that time imposed considerable restrictions on interracial marriage for fear of foreigners getting a green card.
