Courier (1986)
After graduating from high school, 17-year-old Ivan worked as a correspondent in an academic magazine. His parents divorced because of the intervention of a third party. Ivan is indifferent to many things and doesn't care about his work at all. Once, Ivan became acquainted with the professor's daughter, Kaja. Kaja was very dissatisfied with the concept of life of the older generation and got along well with Ivan. The professor was disgusted by his daughter's association with people like Ivan. Ivan deliberately told the professor that Bu Jia was pregnant and that they could not be separated, and the professor was furious when he learned that. After the conflict between Ivan and the professor, he was on his way home, thinking hard about what his ideal was. Based on director Karan Shahnazarov's novel of the same name, the film is one of the distinctive "youth films". It depicts a contradictory youth who conceals his natural purity and inner sincerity under his attitude of playing with the world, and reveals the problem of generation gap in Soviet society in the 1980s. The film profoundly reflects the problems existing in the main aspects of young people's ideals, morality and outlook on life, so it is loved by relevant experts and audiences, especially by young people. The creator expresses the psychology and complex character of young people with unique artistic means. This film won the first place in 1987.
