This film is based on the Stanford Prison experiment in 1971 and is based on Mario Jordanu's novel Black Box. Taxi driver Tarik Fade (Moritz Braddo Moritz Bleibtreu) saw an advertisement in the newspaper for psychological subjects, and 19 other male candidates of all ages in various industries were divided into two groups, playing 12 prisoners and eight prison guards, carrying out a two-week mock prison experiment with a reward of 4000 German marks each. On the eve of the experiment, Tarek returned to the newspaper where he worked two years ago and decided to report what happened during the experiment as a report for sale. Tarek, prisoner 77 in the experiment, deliberately stirred up trouble to make news, relying on the rule that violence was not allowed in the experiment. Prison guard Borus (Justus von Donay Justus von Dohnanyi) is dissatisfied with Tarik's arrogance and establishes his authority step by step in the sanctions against prisoners.
