Mike (Kenneth Brenner Kenneth Branagh) is a private investigator, and one day, a woman who has lost her memory (Emma Thompson Emma Thompson) turns to him for help, hoping to find her identity through his help. In the hypnosis of the hypnotist Franklin (Derek Yakubi Derek Jacobi), the woman learned the name of her previous life-Marguerite. With the passage of time, Mike gradually fell in love with the kind and frustrated woman, in a hypnosis, he found that his previous life was Marguerite's husband Roman, and Marguerite died at the hands of Roman. With the deepening of the investigation, Mike found that Franklin was also involved in their complicated past lives, and he was actually the real killer of Margaret. Now, fate has reunited Franklin and Marguerite and put Margaret in danger.
