Death of a Shadow (2012)

Soldier Nathan was hired by death to shoot near-death shadows. He always longed to return to earth because he fell in love with a girl before he died. However, he must take ten thousand shadows in order to be reborn. On a shooting trip, Nathan revisited the same place, only to find that the girl had someone else to love. A cloud of jealousy hung over him. Nathan made a decision to get the girl he loved. The film won the best European short film award at the 2013 European Film Awards and was nominated for an Oscar for best live action short film. Due to the deep discussion of the boundary between life and death, the film won awards at many short film festivals, including the best film award at the Los Angeles short Film Festival, the best European film award in Spain and the audience choice award in France. The film's actor Matthias Chunel co-starred with the famous French actress Marion Cotillard in Rust and Bones, which won the Caesar Award for the most potential and won 10-minute applause at the Cannes Film Festival.
