The infatuated sharpshooter Jackie (Mia Farrow) introduces the poor fiance Simon Doyle (Simon MacCorkindale) to the manor work of his friend Linnet Ridgeway (Lois Chiles). Unexpectedly, Simon and Linnet got married soon after, and the two went to Egypt for their honeymoon. Angry Jackie followed to Egypt, harassing and pestering from time to time. On the Nile cruise, Linnet found that, with the exception of Jackie, many tourists on board had bad intentions.
