In the 1970s, the construction of urban housing in France was in full swing. Veteran director Rougerie (Michelle Piccoli) rents to a luxury apartment managed by Pierre Pierre (Michelle Ormond) in order to quietly write a screenplay for his next film. On the night of his check-in, he received an invitation from unemployed neighbors Anna Anne (Christina Pascal) and Marcel Marcel (Gerard Giugno) to attend the apartment owners' meeting, which Rugeri gladly accepted because he had nothing to do. Soon, he got caught up in busy legal claims, for the sake of Anna, the charming girl he became more and more concerned about, for the rights and interests of his neighbors, and for his own responsibility.
