Desant na Drvar (1963)
The film depicts the famous event "Horse vaulting" in Yugoslavia during World War II. The German army vainly attempted to capture the vaulting horse of former Yugoslav Marshal Tito, and the battle scene was fierce. 1944 was a rather gloomy year, and with the successive defeats of the East-West front, there was little hope of winning the war, but Hitler's fanaticism and fear of defeat left the Germans still struggling on all fronts. In Yugoslavia, the German army put in new troops to strengthen the crackdown on the guerrillas, but by this time the guerrillas were very different from what they used to be. with the help of Britain and the Soviet Union, the initiative on the battlefield has fallen into the hands of Tito. The whole rural Yugoslavia is under the control of the guerrillas, while the Germans and their puppets can only huddle in the big cities on the main communication lines. As a result, the new German clearance plan can only rely on rapid raids to solve the problem. In early 1944, for security reasons, Tito moved the guerrilla headquarters from Yaize, near the enemy-occupied area, to the Piderova-Deval area, which is located between Yaize and Bihac, with scattered mountains and dense forests.
