Detective Story (1951)
Jim (Kirk Douglas Kirk Douglas) is a criminal policeman who is jealous of evil and takes it as his duty to eradicate evil. One day, during the interrogation of a suspect named Sinada (George McReddy George Macready), Jim could not contain his anger. He was warned by Sinaida's lawyer for this behavior, but also learned a criminal name-Tom (Gerald Moore Gerald Mohr). Following the advice of Sinaida's lawyer, Tom finds his wife Mary (Eleanor Parker Eleanor Parker) and asks her about Tom's whereabouts. To Jim's shock, Mary not only had a relationship with Tom, but even had Tom's child. This incident left Jim in distress and confusion, and his wife's secret love history made him wonder whether he should pursue it or not.
