It's another summer vacation, and Greg Hefley (Zachary Gordon Zachary Gordon), who successfully finished seventh grade, has made plans to play video games first, and then take the time to develop a relationship with Holly Hills (Peyton Lyster Peyton List). Of course, sports-loving dad Frank (Steve Zane Steve Zahn) doesn't agree with his dead house plan. Fed up with his parents' fancy summer arrangements, Greg joined his best friend Raleigh Jefferson (Robert Capron Robert Capron) in the country club, and he was overjoyed that Holly was here, as well as the tough and domineering Patty (Laine MacNeil). Shortly after that, Greg, who was exposed, was forced to turn his brother Roderick (Devon Bostick Devon Bostick) into a lot of jokes. Wrestling with field training camps and country clubs, the last summer vacation of junior high school began. This film is based on the best-selling children series of the same name by American writer Jeff Kinney.
