White Goodman (Ben Stiller Ben Stiller), founder of the Global Fitness Center, is arrogant and delights in merging other gyms. Peter (Vince Vaughn Vince Vaughn), the head of a poorly run mass gym near the fitness center, is indifferent by nature and provides long-term free service to a group of grotesque regular customers. In order to gobble up the Volkswagen Gymnasium, Goodman buys the latter's debt and entrusts the bank to find a lawyer Kate (Christina Taylor Christine Taylor) to ask Peter to raise $50, 000 within 30 days to pay the debt, otherwise the gym will be transferred to Goodman's name.
