In the middle and later period of the Anti-Japanese War, near Xuanwu pass in Shanxi Province, the Japanese infantry 463 regiment was destroyed by the eighth Route Army, and the flag representing the glory of the Japanese army disappeared. The Japanese army then ordered an unpopular independent foolish company, "Zuo character team", to search for the military flag, while the eighth Route Army guerrillas and other forces also launched a unique operation to grab the military flag. This is the beginning of the battle for the flag.
