In the 1970s, a small town in the United States was far from the metropolis. The drug-stricken youth Bob (Matt Dillon Matt Dillon) and his childhood girlfriend (Kelly Lynch Kelly Lynch), the simple Rick (James Legrove James LeGros) and the beautiful rebellious Nadine (Heather Graham Heather Graham) form a criminal gang that specializes in robbing pharmacies. Bob served as the leader, commanding his partners to attract attention, and he took the opportunity to sneak into the pharmacy to steal all illegal drugs that could be used as drugs. The repeated attacks of the police made them hide everywhere, desperate, but never wanted to get out of the current predicament. On this day, Bob and his gang came to another town. During this lingering period, Nadine, who has always been rebellious, died while her partners went out to take an overdose of drugs. The accident completely changed Bob's dissolute and self-destructive life.
