Eisenstein in Guanajuato is about a strange period of time spent in Mexico by Sergei Eisenstein, the father of the world's montage. With its experimental and visual impact, the film is the pinnacle of British director Peter Grenway and was shortlisted for the 2015 Berlin Film Festival Golden Bear Award. In 1931, Soviet director Sergei Eisenstein (Elmerbek Elmer B ä ck) went to Guanajuato to shoot his new film long live Mexico. There, he came into contact with a whole new culture and the attitude of the local civilization towards death, and found another himself. In a foreign land with both joy and danger, he began to re-evaluate his country and the social system under Stalin. "Ten days that shocked Eisenstein", in which Eisenstein describes his experience in Guanajuato, summed up from Eisenstein's classic film "Ten days that shocked the World," a silent film about the Russian October Revolution. In this film, the audience can feel Eisenstein's adventures in Guanajuato as wild as the October Revolution. Although there is only a ten-day story, the film collates Eisenstein's film achievements and personal experiences through exaggerated editing.
