Julian Tarvini (Maurice Ronet), a former paratrooper officer, works for an arms company after retirement, during which he falls in love with Florence (Jeanne Moreau), the wife of boss Simon Carrilla (Jean Wall). To clear the way, he and his mistress worked out a seemingly flawless murder plan. The plan went well at first, but after the assassination, Julian was trapped in the elevator of the building because of a slight error. As the saying goes, it never rains but it pours. A young man and a woman stole Julian's car, and things began to develop in the direction of chaos. This film is the debut of Louis Mahler, a veteran of the left bank, and won the Louis de Luc Award in 1957.
