Sandy, a twelve-year-old boy, is very unhappy because his summer vacation is destined to be very boring. Because his parents divorced, his mother had no time to take care of him, so she sent Sandy to his uncle Potter, who lived by the sea. However, Sandy had no affection at all in the face of the uncle she had never met. Sandy doesn't have any friends here, and the only boy of the same age, Mawei, is autistic and never wants to talk to anyone. He was even more annoyed by the boring life by the seaside, and all he wanted to do was to get out of here and go to the upcoming rock festival in New York with his music group. On a trip to sea, Sandy saved a dolphin that was nearly hunted. The boring life and the cruelty of the seaside hunters strengthened Sandy's determination to leave here. Sandy secretly left the seaside on a hurricane night, but almost had an accident. Fortunately, Porter came and he survived, but the house by the sea was in a mess. After the accident, Porter and Sandy made a gentleman's agreement. Sandy helped his uncle fix the house and was not allowed to slip away. Porter met his request to go to New York for a concert, and Sandy gladly agreed. The dolphin saved by Sandy is obsessed with his benefactor and often comes.
