Flower Drum Song (1961)
"Flower Drum Opera" comes from a novel of the same name by C.Y. Lee (Li Jinyang). It is adapted into a musical by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joseph Fields, composed by Richard Rodgers and composed by Oscar Hammerstein II. The play opened at St. James Theatre in New York on December 1, 1958, performed 600 times on Broadway in New York, and then at the Palace Theatre in London (Palace Theatre) on March 24, 1960. In 1961, it was made into a film by Universal screen, in which Linda was played by the famous Chinese actor Nancy Kwan. In 2002, under the careful planning of Factor, founded by Yang Zhihe, the former publisher of A Magzine, "Flower Drum Opera" returned to the Virginia Theater (Virginia Theatre) at New York's Broadway Theatre in late September. This time the script was awarded by Tony.
