The 16-year-old beautiful girl Abel (Linda Darnell Linda Darnell) leaves her oppressed native family and goes to London to join a man named Bruce (Jefferson Pascal). Soon, the couple used up all their savings. In order to make ends meet, Bruce went out to sea to become a smuggler, while Abel went to prison by accident. She was shocked to find that she was pregnant with Bruce's child. With the help of robber Jack (John Russell John Russell), Abel escapes from prison and is sold to the theater by Jack.
