Friends and strangers is a surrealistic comedy film that explores the displacement, loneliness and boredom of contemporary Australians from the perspective of two middle-class millennials. Through a bold plot framework and delicate levels, the film shows several episodes of the lives experienced by Alice and Ray, two idle young people in their late 30s who were born into wealthy families. but they don't seem to be able to handle boring jobs, weird love and half-fooling business plans.
