From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series (2014 - 2016)
The settings of the TV and movie versions have not changed much, telling a supernatural crime legend. Both FBI and the Texas Patrol are looking for the Gecko brothers because they committed bank robberies that killed many people. Fleeing to Mexico is the only way to survive. On the way, they met former Reverend Jacob Fuller and his family and took them hostage. Using the Fuller family's SUV, the brothers finally reached the Mexican border, and chaos ensued. They came to a strip club with countless vampires, so they had to resist this group of creatures that can only appear at night, hoping to last till dawn. The show deepens the tone of the film version, adds a lot of new characters and backstories, and tells stories about vampires in Central American mythology. The first two episodes of the series "Kill the Dawn" will be directed by Rodriguez himself and will act as the show's executive producer. "if the movie is a short story, then this TV series is a novel," Rodriguez said. The show will premiere on the El Rey network on March 11. El Rey is directed by Rodriguez at NBC Universal.
