There are many weird movies in Japan, but there are really few oddities that can compete with this "Funky Forest: the First Contact". In the face of such a grotesque film, I don't know where to start. "Logic" is almost nonexistent here, and all kinds of absurd plots are guaranteed to startle you. The film is like a series of short films, with subtitles added at the beginning of each paragraph. Occasionally, like a Japanese TV advertisement, logo~ is displayed in one corner of the picture, but the characters of each story are related to each other, and there are even causes and consequences to be traced between the stories. Like a vinyl record, the film is divided into two parts: a side and a B side, with a total length of two and a half hours, with a seriously added 3-minute rest time that overwhelms the audience. in the scene of A side, English teacher Takefumi (Karase) plays vinyl at home and acts as a DJ to naturally mix the two songs together. In fact, the film is like a super-long DJ session, three.
