Galaxy Express 999 (1979)

In the future world, with the highly developed human civilization and the emergence of a large number of intelligent robots, they have occupied an important position in daily life, and human beings also try to transform themselves into robots in order to obtain eternal life. At the same time, a cosmic train called "Galaxy Railway 999" undertakes the mission of connecting Earth and cosmic civilization, and galaxies are no longer far away. The mother of young Tetsuro Hoshino (voiced by Masako Nobutaka) was killed by the mechanical Earl who loved killing. He decided to go to the Andaro Nebula to transform his body, at the behest of his mother. For this reason, he did not hesitate to snatch other people's tickets to Galaxy Railway No. 999 at the station. However, he also met Metir (voiced by Changko Ikeda), who looks very much like his mother. With the help of Medel, he finally boarded the 999 train and embarked on a journey full of unknowns. This film is the first theatrical animation of Galaxy Railway 999.
