Three university professors Peter Winkman (Bill Murray Bill Murray), Raymond Steinz (Dan Aykroyd Dan Aykroyd) and Egan OswaldSpengler (Harold Ramis Harold Ramis) specialize in ghosts and spirits. They decided to leave the campus laboratory to form a "ghost hunting brigade".
