Jacopo (Jacob Derwig) and sister Maria (Halina Reijn) are abandoned in the woods by their unemployed father (Johan Leysen). They find the address their mother left them in their pockets and set off to Spain to look for their uncle. Brother and sister went through untold hardships and encountered all kinds of dangers and weirdos. They finally came to Spain, only to find that their uncle had passed away. However, they meet another brother and sister-Diego (Carmelo G ó mez), a wealthy dentist, and Teresa (Elvira M í nguez), who is in bed with kidney disease. Maria quickly fell in love with Diego, but Jacopo was jealous.
