Haider is adapted from Shakespeare's Hamlet. A young man (Haider) returned to Kashmir from school after learning the news of his father's disappearance. The self-defence forces arrested his father on charges of harboring militants. Haider discovered that his mother was having an affair with his uncle. Soon after, Haider learned that his uncle was in charge of his father's murder, so he embarked on a journey of revenge for his dead father.
