The flood caused by the heavy rain turned the town into a vast ocean, and the police in the town urged every family to evacuate and take refuge. Escort Tom (Kristen Slater Christian Slater) and Charlie come to the bank in the heavy rain and withdraw $3 million in cash to cancel the branch. Soon their van is trapped in a desolate section of the road and cannot move forward, so they send a signal to the National Guard for help. Unexpectedly, the signal is intercepted by prepared Jim (Morgan Freeman Morgan Freeman) and other four men. Jim and others rob violently, and Charlie is killed in the line of duty. Tom escaped alone, with Jim in hot pursuit. On his way to escape, Tom came across Karen, a woman who stayed in town to protect church art, and finally got the chance to call the police, who detained Tom and looked for the cash he had hidden in the graveyard.
